Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the relationship between eBet Group (Pty) Ltd T/A eBet (Registration Number 2022/469504/07) and its customers. eBet is licensed by the Eastern Cape Gambling Board under Licence Number 10189510-006, issued in South Africa on 23 April 2022.

Read these Terms in full before opening an account. By registering or placing a bet you confirm that you have understood and accept them.

1. Eligibility to bet

You may only open an account or place a bet if you:

  • are a natural person (companies and other legal entities are not eligible);
  • are at least 18 years of age;
  • have completed the application accurately and been accepted by eBet;
  • are not listed on the register of excluded persons under the National Gambling Act, 2004; and
  • are not in breach of these Terms.

2. Account opening

All information you provide must remain true and correct. You must tell eBet in writing of any change that affects your identity, contact details, creditworthiness, legal capacity, or eligibility.

eBet may accept or decline an application, or stop accepting bets, without giving a reason. An application will be declined if it is incomplete, incorrect, or if requested documents are not provided in time.

You must keep your login details safe, hold only one account, not open an account for anyone else, and not let anyone else bet on your account. You are responsible for bets placed before you notify eBet that your details were lost or misused.

3. FICA

eBet must comply with the Financial Intelligence Centre Act, 38 of 2001. Identity must be established and verified before an online betting account can be used. Further information is available at www.fic.gov.za.

4. Deposits, withdrawals and balances

Bets may only be placed from a funded eBet wallet. Withdrawals are paid to a bank account in the account holder’s name after verification. eBet may request additional documents before paying out. Daily withdrawal limits published on the site apply.

5. Betting

Bets are accepted subject to these Terms, the Eastern Cape Gambling Board betting rules, and any product-specific rules displayed at the time of betting. eBet may void a bet that was accepted in error, at incorrect odds, or in breach of these Terms.

6. Self-exclusion and responsible gambling

Gambling is for persons 18 years and older. Winners know when to stop.

You may set deposit, loss, or session limits in your account, or request a time-out or self-exclusion. If you need help, contact the National Responsible Gambling Programme on 0800 006 008 (24/7) or WhatsApp HELP to 076 675 0710.

Self-exclusion requests can also be sent to [email protected]. eBet will honour a valid exclusion and will not reopen an excluded account during the exclusion period.
